The Terrestrial Shrub Rover!

Wondering what the next great solar powered vehicle is?  How about the “Terrestrial Shrub Rover,” from Justin Shull?

The inventor has made a video that is seriously making the rounds on YouTube, with over 100,000 views in a few short months.  The solar powered vehicle is completely covered in greenery.  Video cameras are mounted on the front, which allow the “driver” to see where he or she is going by watching the video feed.

Is this part of the future of solar powered vehicles, or just a funny gimmick?

You’ll simply have to watch this video and decide for yourself:

This solar invention may allow an “opportunity to explore terrestrial and social environments,” according to inventor Justin Shull.  Yet, you may be scratching your head wondering how solar panels can power this vehicle if its covered in foliage!

Sorry, but we cannot answer that mystery here!  It may be that the Porta Hedge is powered by an external solar powered generator.  Or, perhaps the people inside just propel it with their feet…. Can you just imagine?
