Electric cars are making big… er, “inroads” into the marketplace this year. And consumers are demanding convenient, green ways to recharge them. Solar electric car re-charging stations are starting to emerge as a result.
In Berlin-Adlershof, you’ll find solar charging stations that offer computerized and safe recharging for electric vehicles. With 8 bays for recharging and electronic identification and billing, drivers will soon be pulling over to these service stations instead of fuel stations! The solar recharging stations include elements to generate clean electricity, a battery in which power can be stored, and a computerized connector system.
Here’s what to expect when you recharge your electric vehicle at a solar charging station: (1) a 12-module PV panel system that tracks the sun’s movements across the sky to maximize clean energy generation; (2) a battery storehouse that can hold 100 kWh of clean renewable energy for use to recharge EVs; and (3) a computerized electrical connector and charging system which performs like a smart meter for electric cars, managing the recharging process by communicating with individual outlet sockets and billing customers automatically.
