Solar Energy Workshop in Oregon

On Wednesday, July 22, a solar energy workshop in Oregon is scheduled to take place along the southern Pacific Coast in Coos Bay.  As reported in “The World,” the region’s local newspaper, the event will be in North Bend, Oregon next week:

“Coos County homeowners and business owners can learn how to earn substantial cash incentives for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy projects. The workshop is set from 7 to 9 p.m. at the North Bend Community Center, 2222 Broadway Ave.

Attendees will hear from a panel of experts about cash incentives, tax credits and grants for energy efficiency improvements and renewable resources such as solar.”

The solar energy workshop in Oregon is hosted by Energy Trust.  The company provides incentives for a range of green improvements including “new construction and upgrades to existing lighting, HVAC, pumps, motors and insulation, as well as for installation of renewable energy systems such as solar and wind.”

Energy Trust has a number of videos and commercials for general viewing, including this one:

When it comes to solar energy, Energy Trust is a leading resource for Oregonians.  Solar energy is a key focus of Energy Trust, particularly given the ample quantities of the resource in Oregon!  As indicated on its official website, consider the following steps to go solar:

  3. I think Energy Trust is on the right track in promoting the usage of solar power in residential unit. We have been using energy from coal for far too long. It’s time for a change.
