Decorating for Halloween

This year decorate with solar Halloween lights!

Its hard to believe, but its already time to decorate for the holidays.  With Halloween upon us, it will literally be the season of lights from now through December.  Solar Halloween lights are a great option for you to use to minimize the fright you would otherwise get from opening your utility bill next month!

Small strands of LED lights are the way to go this year!  They are economical, easy to use and extremely long lasting.  Because solar LED lights are powered by energy from the sun, you don’t need to find an outlet or conduct any wiring.  The only thing you’ll need is a place in which to insert a controller box in the ground.

The LED lights can be strung anywhere – around doors, windows, up trees and throughout your landscaping.

Halloween lighting... the LED way

Ghosts and goblins will be able to find your home for decades to come with solar Halloween lights!  That’s right – they will last about 20 years, and they are 90% more efficient than regular incandescent lighting.  With just a few hours of sunlight, the LED lights will recharge and glow all night until morning.  Don’t worry about shutting off the power to save energy.

LED landscaping lights like these come in all colors – orange, purple, white, red, etc.  Simply decorate to your heart’s desire.  Individual LED lights will never need replacing, either.  How nice is that?

I just love the idea in the following video, using different colored solar LED lights to light up the fall foliage:

  1. Aloha!
I’ve put 18 solar PV panels and 2 solar water panels on my house in Hawaii and I’m saving about $500/month on my power bill. I’m trying to get off the grid by mid 2011. I’ve saved about 50,000lbs of CO2 according to my Sunny Boy Converter.

I want to get the word out about the monetary and Co2 savings available through solar power. Would you consider doing a blog post about my house? I can provide pictures and more details.

Here is some detail from my site http://www.alohatony.com/solar.php

  2. Hey, I’m a new blogger you can find here at solarlightssite.com, and your site is very related to mine; I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to do a blogroll link exchange. Please let me know if you’re interested.

  3. Nice post!!!
Thanks for the great information …

  4. Very cool and green idea, love it! It’s nice that there is so much variety. I think that it will be easier to convince people to use them because of that.
