Combining solar power with Nissan LEAF electric cars is a smart move!
We love this video in which homeowner, “Jay B” explains why he should win Nissan’s Drive Electric Tour contest and get a brand new Nissan LEAF electric car. While the video is the property of Nissan and cannot be inserted into this post, follow the link here to view Jay’s video discussing his idea for a solar powered Nissan LEAF electric car.
Jay B. explains that his 5 kilowatt (kW) solar panel system on his home will power a new electric car from Nissan. For naysayers of electric vehicles who like to claim that they are just as “dirty” as cars with internal combustion engines, solar energy is clean and emissions free. That means that an electric car powered by sunlight is as eco-friendly as it can get.
The Nissan Drive Electric tour contest ends on April 30, 2011, in just a few weeks. You can still enter if you live in the U.S., or just be sure to vote online for your favorite clip.
