Hold everything - the Hippy Gourmet is on!

Have you ever watched the Hippy Gourmet television show?  Irreverent, creative and fun – you can learn about anything from recipes to renewable energy.  In this fun video segment, the Hippy Gourmet interviews Bob Schneeveis, the creator of a solar chariot.  Not just any solar chariot (as if there is such a thing), but one that is pulled by a robotic George W. Bush!

Ironic?  Yes.  Most believe that this is as close as George Bush will get to actually supporting solar power.  But let’s have some fun.  After all, there are less than 20 days left of his presidency.

Let’s go for a ride on the solar chariot pulled by a very stiff, yet smiling George W. Bush:

Perhaps one of the most ingenious aspects of the solar chariot design is the fact that in Greek Mythology, the sun is represented by a chariot of fire.  The god Helios is pulled in the original solar chariot across the sky.  So it is particularly appropriate that a real chariot is powered by energy from the sun!

Obviously, a solar chariot is not going to the best option for your commute.  Nor can I imagine picking up the kids from school in this contraption and running other errands.  But the fun factor is enough to highlight it here.  Especially with the George W. Bush twist.
